My area of interest is Women’s Health. I am in the family nurse practitioner track. My area of interest has not changed from NR500. I do not want to change my area of interest because I have always been interested in women’s health and in improving their total health outcomes. Women face various health problems that need to be addressed effectively. For instance, women tend to have a longer lifespan which renders them highly susceptible to age-related conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. More so, women are more vulnerable to STIs, UTI, cancer (cervical cancer, breast cancer). According to Welti et al. (2017), women are more likely to develop chronic diseases as compared to men.
