My selected healthcare concern is the uninsured in the state of Florida. I chose this topic after I learned that the number of uninsured individuals in Florida has been increasingly on the rise. According to a research by the U.S Census Bureau, in 2017, more than 2.6 Florida citizens did not have health insurance at a point in time. This represents that approximately 12.9% of the total Florida state population was uninsured in 2017, from 12.5 % in 2016.
