The proposed solution for prevention and reduction of adolescent suicide risks is provision of educational handouts for improvement of patient knowledge in light of the causes, risk factors, signs and symptoms, diagnosis procedures, treatment and medication interventions for mental instability amongst the patients population that result to suicidal thoughts. The educational handouts are aimed at creating awareness and sensitizing the patient population on how to manage suicidal thoughts. According to Boss and Krauss (2014), lack of information regarding adolescent health issues is a major contributor to the rising number of adolescent between the ages of 10 to 14 attempting suicides in US.
