Quantitative Article Search and Summary
Among the national practice problems facing the U.S is diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM2) which according to the national diabetes statistics report affects 34.2 million people, which is 10.5% of the total U.S population (the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 2020). It is only 26.9 million persons, out of which 26.8 million are adults. The rest, 7.3 million (21.4%) remain undiagnosed. This paper reviews and discusses a quantitative article about DM2. It includes the literature search strategy used, a summary of the article’s quality based on the John Hopkins Appraisal tool, and a conclusion.

The limiters used included publication date (published within the last 5 years), full text, peer-reviewed/ scholarly, quantitative, and English-language. I reviewed the articles’ abstracts and authors to ensure they met the inclusion criteria. The initial search retrieved 10 articles which I conducted a thorough review and critique of strengths and limitations to ensure I selected the most applicable research article…………..
