Advanced Communication in Systems Leadership
According to Kwame and Petrucka (2021), effective communication skills among healthcare leaders are the foundation of interprofessional collaborations. Nurse leaders must be self-aware of their leadership profile to be able to find their strengths and areas of improvement (Steffens et al., 2021). This paper discusses leadership profile (leadership style, personality profile, and leadership profile) per questionnaires used, reflective practice on negotiation, conflict, and leading a team experiences, including implications to practice, and a summary.
Leadership Profile
My leadership style based on “Blake and Mouton Managerial Grid: Leadership Self-Assessment Questionnaire” is the team leader (high task and high relationship). A team leader leads by role modeling positive behaviors, supporting teamwork, and motivating and directing the team to achieve set goals and vision (Todăriţă, 2021). Team leaders create high-performing teams by remaining attentive to the members’ concerns and maintaining open communication. Team leadership aligns with my trait as I focus on empowering my team members to perform to achieve both their personal and organizational goals.
Based on the personality typology profile (PTF), my personality profile is ENFJ, that is, Extravert (20%), iNtuitive (9%), Feeling (19%), and Judging (3%). This personality profile shows that I am socially energetic, outgoing person, and compassionate and I like structured planning with an acceptable level of adaptability (Extravert). I am future-oriented and more interested in potential outcomes and exploring concepts rather than in concrete details (Intuition). My decision-making is guided by my personal values, empathy, compassion, and desire to maintain peaceful relations (Feeling). I am more oriented to structure, organization, planning, and decision-making (Judging).Click to purchase full solution
