The model that I would utilize to restructure the department to flatten lines and reduce expenses is the Kotter model. This framework comprises 8 steps that guide change implementation. The first step is creating the urgency for the change which involves creating the need for change which may spark motivation. The urgency of change can be created by bringing into the stakeholder awareness of the financial loss. The second step is building a guiding coalition which involves the identification of a team that supports change to ensure restructuring is supported and accepted (Miles et al., 2023).
